PlanNET is committed to ensuring lifetime support and meaningful social networks throughout the life of a person with a disability. People with disabilities can make valued contributions to their communities but often fostering meaningful and long-term friendships outside of their immediate family and paid support is difficult. PlanNET recognises this and our work is dedicated to facilitating networks of support for the person with the disability.
With a network in place, families are supported and are able to develop safe, reliable and
secure social networks for their relative with a disability. Our philosophy is to work in accordance with a
person-centered plan. Plannet values our independence from recurrent government funding because it enables us to advocate on behalf of individuals and families without fear of consequences.
